BCS Column Limit

This is not new news, but I couldn’t find information on it at first. Most BCS examples and implementations tend to be small so you don’t see this often:

[box type="info"] Application definition import failed. The following error occurred: Cannot create more than ’20′ IIdentifier objects per IEntity object. Error was encountered at or just before Line: ’199′ and Position: ’14′. [/box]

In a nutshell, you cannot load more than 20 identifiers per the BCS specification (even if the BCS tools allow you to add more).

Office 365 and Outlook 2010: Handle various email addresses

Thought I would share a piece of useful information regarding the use “other emails” in Exchange online. Traditionally, an account is created with an email address for handling public and shared email accounts. In Office 365, you can add “other emails” to an account to save the cost of adding additional accounts. In order to identify the emails coming in from the difference email addresses, you can use a server rule looking into the internet header information.

In my case, the email I am looking for is info@myemail.com. I created a new blank rule and use the condition “with in the message header”. Then you can create whatever action is deemed proper.

Wow … can I say wow! I had a great time at the conference. It is rare to have go many great people in one place. Awesome, I spoke to so many great speakers. The attendees where absolutely great … great questions, interaction and honestly, they were hungry to learn. It simply cannot get better.

To fully appreciate the conference, lets go over some stats here:

First SharePoint Saturday in Houston

Today is a great day here in Houston. We are having our first SharePoint Saturday today. Over 400 people registered, the conference area is looking great. I met the speakers last night and we had a lot of fun even after the dinner. Today, I am presenting two sessions:

SharePoint Server 2010 RTM is on MSDN

So I make my coffee, get on my laptop and I think … I should check out MSDN (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions) to see what new goodies are there ….

I notice a download for SharePoint Server 2010. And yes! It is the RTM bits … no more BETA2 bits. Go get your bits. I am grabbing mine … so wait and don’t slow down my download. Good day to all btw.
